Bungie Day 2010 is almost here. With Reach on the way, we'll probably get to see some really cool stuff about forge, or campaign. Bungie Day also has a special meaning to me and my friends, because it's when we stuck it out for 24 hours and played Halo 'till our eyes fell out. It's almost a year since then, so to celebrate I made another Halo 3 music video, since the first one did so well with almost 15,000 views at the time I'm writing this. Sorry that I haven't updated in a while guys. Recently, as many of you may have been wondering, I have been spending a lot of time on Modern Warfare 2. Even my recent Machinimas are all in MW2. Do not despair, I have not abandoned Halo and Aftermath. Aftermath part three is in the works, so much that I posted a preview for Kalawaki and Alexo to view. I'm working on it. Have patience. In other news, I made yet another MW2 Machinima. It's pretty awesome.

Happy Holidays Monkey Tail! Recently, I passed the 300 subscriber milestone on youtube. I couldn't do it without you guys, so thank you all SO MUCH for helping me make and then watching our videos. As a kind of Christmas present, I made a music video in Modern Warfare 2, our first Non-halo Machinima. Happy Holidays, and Aftermath 3 is in the works.

Monkey Tail Productions is going under some very, very heavy reformations. If you find you are no longer in the group, I am very sorry, but I felt tha you did not help enough to be recognized as a full-time member. Nothing personal, I'm just making some changes. Over the weekend I made a music video I've been wanting to do for a while. I plan on doing more, so let me know what songs you think would be awesome.

Lots of news for today. For those of you who may have been offline since Bungie Day, I, EggyMean, and SteelyJPSLAYER have both been bestowed with Recon. This will be of great use in our machinimas. Below is the video documentary of our Bungie Day fun. Below that video is more news. So scroll down... In addition to that video, I finished up another montage. This time, it was for Monkey Tail Productions and its members, exclusively. I will be making another, so save your awesome Halo 3 exploits. Before that however, I will finish AfterMath - Part 2. Which I am currently working on. -E

Filming for Aftermath will resume on or around the first of July. I will be sending messages over Xbox LIVE and posting updates here as we get closer. And I have a surprise for all of you when we film...make sure you have some spare time. -E

Over the weekend I, EggyMean, and TheMagnetDragon did some voicework on Aftermath. The video is on my youtube profile, but I have it set to private viewing. This week all i have is a bunch of answers to questions you may or may not have about our plans:

Q: WTF?!?!?!? WHERE IS TEH MACHINIMA!

A: It's coming along. I was supposed to finish it last weekend, and released it on sunday, November 30. However, things change, and i will be finishing it and releasing it this sunday, December 7. Mark your calendars.

Q: So...you had a surprise...since you have betrayed us and ripped our poor little hearts apart, will you tell us what it is? :D

A: Yes, yes i will. Two weeks ago, while filming the machinima, i had UnknownGeneral7 join the party to help act. After he did, a few other actors left. I freaked out and he said, 'Oh, don't worry eggy, i can get someone else in here....and he has RECON.'

Sure enough, he did. So keep your eyes peeled for some Reconz in the trailer.

Q: What IS the machinima?

It is an insanely awesome, head-exploding HMV-style trailer for AfterMath. Not the first episode, so don't freak out :D. There are not any voice-overs, just head-exploding infiltration tactics.

Remember...December 7.....stay tuned.

Alright!

This past weekend, me, eggymean, MUTMOW, TheMagnetDragon, Th3p0t4tof4min3, alexo670, unkown soldier 7, DEV1ANT GAMER, and an unnamed person (it's a surprise! :D) began working on a trailer for AfterMath. We will be finished next weekend, and i will put it on youtube (and here) as soon as it's completed.

Hey its eggy here all i have for you are the main charachters, as they are now, for Aftermath:

John Hudson-Leader of the 'squad' of rebels the story focuses on. Wears Mark 6 head, mark 6 shoulders, and CQB chest. His family was killed in the primary U.A.A. attacks. Obviously he's going to have a little hate...primarily a rifleman, he has a BR and a pistol.

Eddison 'Eddy' Vasquez- Demolitions expert. Tends to get a little aggro in combat. Wears full CQB. also steel. Little is known about his background at the start of the series.

Patrick Mason- World-class Sniper. originally from Scotland, his parents died before the war began and he is not married at the start of the series. Wears a scout helmet, mark 6 shoulders, and a CQB chest. oh, and he's steel.

Alice Pocket- The voice in their head. Never really in combat, ALice is usually at the main Base of Ops, giving tactical info to the squad. Kind of like an AI, but real.

Alexander Jacobs- The leader of the U.A.A. and the prime target of our squad. THis man is the single most vile man in existence, a modern-day Hitler. It is said a soldier of his was executed because he disagreed with Alexander on a tactical manuver, which ended up getting sixteen soldiers slaughtered. When the soldier confronted him, ALexander shot him right then and there. Not such a nice guy, huh? Sage coloring, wears Security head + shoulders, and an EOD chest.

Standard U.A.A. soldier- sage with an EOD head and mark 6 everything else. carries an AR.

Our first series: AfterMath

Today is important. Today, i am announcing our first machinima. Below is a introduction into the series, titled 'AfterMath', and some concept art (eventually, the site is pooping on me and won't let me put up pictures.) Enjoy. OH, and by the way, im grounded too, so i would REALLY appreciate it if you could update the site, kalawaki. Thanks.

January 20, 2087.

The U.A.A., or United Against Anarchy, takes over as the government for the whole world, after numerous compromises involving welfare, religious practice, housing, and food provision. The U.A.A. warns of a no-tolerance policy against any kind of resistance.

September 28, 2088.

After almost two years of neglected promises and with most of the world living below the poverty line, a large number of armed rebels, called the Voice of Reason, rises up against the U.A.A. in their capitol. Most members of the U.A.A. parlament present are killed on-the-spot. After the military arrives and defeats the V.O.R., those that are not killed are taken prisoner and tortured. Only after the V.O.R.'s main bases of operation are revealed are the prisoners executed. Revenge against the V.O.R. is assured.

September 29, 2088.

As, promised, the U.A.A.'s no-tolerance policy kicks in. All of the revelaed bases are obliterated in a world-wide nuclear attack.

October 12, 2088.

Almost two weeks after the initial bombings, the public is in outrage over the U.A.A.'s choice to use nuclear weapons. with tensions reaching a breaking point, the U.A.A. detonates several other nuclear devices in major cities, and frames the V.O.R. for the attacks. This quells almost all the rallying for the V.O.R.. However, murder, cancer, and suicide rates skyrocket. Most civilians flee major cities, and the worldwide economy plummets.

The world has fallen apart.

October 20, 2088.

(first episode)

Just to clarify, the U.A.A. is the oppressive government, and the V.O.R. are the pissed off civilians. All of this will be in subtitles over the events described, acted out in H3

Hey everyone, Kalawaki here. Just thought id let you all know that iv been grounded, so thats why i havnt been online.
Also, I'm trying to work on a new series but the name has yet to be decided, so i'll be up for suggestions.

Ps: there havnt rly been any updates in awile, where the hell did Eggy go???

Huzzah! i got Anamoly #1 up on gamevee (my secret source of videoz) for all to see. i will probably leave this version up, until i get it on youtube, but youtube quality=suck, so i will leave both. Gamevee=win.

in case your wondering WTF you just saw, it was a prelude to "test subject", which alexo is producing this (REMOVED). In the video, obviously a security gaurd is watching a security camera in (REMOVED) city. He watches someone walk by, gets bored, leaves, and just misses the first attack of a ("TEST SUBJECT").

 

Also, updates will now come every Thursday, to tide you over until Bungie's, on Friday.

This is the new home for news from monkey tail. the shiny, sparkly front page. the old news section is going to become the home of an "Application Form". if you are in Monkey tail, as of 8/18/08, you do not need to fill one out, but it would be good if you did. In other news, i have started making a few short clips in halo 3, short skits from one perspective. right now, i only have one released, and i will make another every week. they will be uploaded to youtube, and obviously posted here. right now, they all have something to do with alexo670's new movie, "test subject". once the first one is on youtube (probably on friday) i will post it here, along with the other new clip. ENJOY!
